Cassandra Kerns Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home - Burnsville on Feb. 13, 2026.
Cassandra Rose Kerns, of Burnsville, MN, passed away on February 12, 2026, at age 42. She was a fighter and she fought hard, she fought for her son Landon but this was the one battle she lost.

In her lifetime she was defined by her devotion to her family and friends. She was selfless, caring and generous beyond belief. Family and friends can also attest to her stubbornness, but through that stubbornness showed her powerful strength. Cassie went to St Cloud State University and later received her Bachelors from Rasmussen College. She excelled at her job as Senior Client Accountant at Transwestern. But her greatest achievement in life was the birth of her son Landon. He was her world and she moved mountains for him. Cassie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, social gatherings, casino runs, crafts, a good lifetime movie night and welcoming and caring for new animals into her loving family. Cassie's sweet and sassy spirit and "I've got your back" attitude was evident to all who knew her.

Cassie is survived by her loving son and mother, Landon Kerns and Theresa Dexter, her 2 dogs Milo and Shadow and cat CoCo, her sister Patty and Nicholas Lebens, her brother Cody and Hannah Kerns, her many nieces and nephews Annabelle, Nicholas, Harrison (Lebens), Arissa, Jaxon, Kinsley, Cameron (Kerns), Grandmother Vera Lou Klaphake, amazing aunts and uncles Julie and Chris Mazza, Kevin and Ali Klaphake, Brian Klaphake and her many other aunts, uncles, friends, and coworkers.

She was preceded in death by her dad, John Kerns, Grandparents Rose Klaphake, John Klaphake, Clayton Kerns, Barb Kerns.
