Williamsburg-Rick Allen Kleinmeyer was born January 1, 1960, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Donald and Evelyn (Mouchka) Kleinmeyer. He graduated from Clear Creek High School. Rick was united in marriage to Ruby Baumgartner on July 15, 1978 in Amana. Rick worked at Heartland Co-op, Iowa State DOT, and ACE Hardware in Williamsburg. He was a member of the Amana Fire Department and First Responders for over 40 years and then the Williamsburg Fire Department, Rescue 48 and First Responders. Additionally, Rick was a hunter safety class instructor. Rick fully lived life with a passion for hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family and beloved German shepherd Vega. In recent years, Rick became a proud Opa of two grand-daughters which he dearly loved. Rick passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, at the age of 65 years. 

He is survived by his wife Ruby of 46 years; three daughters, Amanda (Jim) Naughton of Clinton, IA, Jennie (J.J.) Wombacher of West Branch, IA, and Christa (Josh) Bern of Williamsburg, IA. Additionally, two granddaughters, Adaline Bern, Addison Wombacher, and a 3rd expected granddaughter in March; siblings, Kathy (Terry) Zimmerman, Tyera (Doug) Hess, and Todd (Susan) Kleinmeyer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, January 27, 2025, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A general memorial fund has been established.
