Rick Allen Miller

Rick Allen Miller, age 67 years, passed away February 7, 2026 at St. Luke's East Hospital, Lee's Summit, MO. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Clinton, Missouri. Burial to follow in Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Rick Miller was born in Henry County, Missouri on November 15, 1958 to Ermal E. "Pete" Miller and Shirly Marie (Teft) Miller. He attended special education classes in Clinton Public Schools. While he was in high school, he worked with the custodian, Mr. West, who became a lifelong friend. After graduation, he worked on the family farm and for other farmers in the area. He also worked for a time at Shoemaker Equipment Company and said it was his very favorite job. Later, he worked at Englewood Cemetery.

He faithfully attended Deepwater Church of the Brethren with his parents. Upon the church's closure, he joined St. Paul's Episcopal Church where his good friend and conservator, Don Kiefer belonged. He was a good and faithful member, helping out wherever he could by cutting the grass and setting up for events. He lived in his own house until he needed care, then moving to Jefferson Gardens Assisted Living. When he needed more care, he moved to Appleton City Manor. He suffered a cardiac arrest and later passed at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit. He gave the gift of life to others by being an organ donor.
