Rickey Barnes Obituary

Rickey retired from Arizona Chemical, where he served as a Shipping Supervisor. In retirement, he found joy in woodworking, traveling in the motor home with his wife Beth and their dog Oliver, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and caring brother.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jimmie Nell Barnes, and grandson, Christian Walsingham.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 40 years, Beth Barnes; daughters, Mandy Walsingham (Chris), Carlee Weeks (Michael), and Lindsey Mathes (Jesse); son, Garrick Barnes (Kelly); grandchildren, Nathan and Jackson Walsingham, Madison Barnes, Logan and Evan Weeks, Izzy, Gabby, and Mia Mathes; brothers, David Barnes (Charla) and Kenny Barnes (Jolene).
Per Rickey's wishes, a private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Heritage Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Rickey Barnes.

I grew up from elementary school to high school with Rickey. I just realized from reading his obit and going through our yearbook just how smart a guy he was. He was always so unassuming and humble , but oh so funny... he made you laugh just by looking at him. A strong Christian man who loved his family. You are missed, Rickey, but I can hear the laughter in Heaven. Beth, you had one of the good guys, may God give you lots of precious memories to think about during this time. Love in Christ,
