Rickey Leon Pilgrim

Rickey Leon Pilgrim, 65, of Central, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born on April 5, 1958, in Greenville to Leon and Cornelia Evatt Pilgrim.

Rickey was known for his remarkable humility and kindness. He treated everyone with respect and was beloved by all who knew him. He found joy in simple pleasures such as going to the grocery store and attending church. He could always be found sitting in "Amen Corner" and his absence will be deeply felt by the community.

Rickey is survived by his sister, Kathy Grant; his brother, Dale Pilgrim and his wife, Mary; brother-in-law, Wesley Durham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rickey was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Durham and Linda Stancil; as well as a baby brother named Tommy Pilgrim.

A funeral service will be held at 3PM on Thursday, July 6 at Solid Rock Baptist Church located at 1126 Old Norris Road in Liberty. The family will receive friends at 2PM prior to the service. Interment will take place in the family plot at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in making the necessary arrangements.
