Gail Ann Caley, 84, of Seneca, wife to Paul C. Caley, passed away December 28, 2025.
Gail was a loving wife and mother who was born October 31, 1941 in Worthington, OH to the late Albert Thomas Proudley and Edith Fondelia Griswold Proudley. After coming to South Carolina in 1969, she attended Clemson University in Industrial Education and worked there in Student Placement and Clemson Extension for twenty years.
With her husband, they founded Shagbark Enterprises Company and co-managed it for forty-three years. Gail loved to travel, having visited all seven continents and dozens of countries. She enjoyed many hobbies such as weaving, needlepointing, gardening, painting and free hand artistry. Gail was a longtime member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Caley; children, Christopher Caley of Fair Play, SC and Cheryl Hughes of Seneca; brother, Bruce Proudley.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oconee Humane Society, 1925 Sandifer Blvd, Seneca, SC 29678.
