June Caley, of Haverhill, formerly of Quincy and Weymouth and Ipswich, peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on December 27, 2025, at the age of 99. Her life was long, well lived, and marked by love, faith, and filled with her artistic creativity.
Born June 22, 1926, in Nyack New York, June was the daughter of Elizabeth and Philip Meyers. She grew up with values that shaped her entire life: hard work, perseverance, and deep care for others. These qualities were evident in everything she did.
Family was the center of June's world. She was a devoted mother, and she took great pride in her role as grandmother and great grandmother. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and love-even when she was in the care of family during the later years of her life.
A woman of strong faith, June lived her beliefs quietly but faithfully. She sang in numerous church choirs and enjoyed singing alto solos. For many years, she sang in "The Messiah" with Quincy Choral Union. She found joy in the simple blessings of life and faced its challenges with grace and resolve.
June graduated from Nyack (NY) High School in 1944. Her major was art. From there she developed her artistic skills and over the years became an active member of Quincy Art Association, Weymouth Art Association, Guild of Beverly Artists, Ipswich Arts Collaborative, where she won awards.
She graduated from Houghton College, Houghton NY in 1948 as a biology major. After graduating, June taught science at Secondary Schools in Paterson New Jersey.
She is survived by her children: Nina Chicoski and her husband Robert, Susan Fish and her husband Randy, Roy Caley, Bruce Caley and his wife Kelly, and Timothy Caley and his wife Patricia. She is survived by her ten grandchildren: Matthew, Abigail, Theresa, Amanda, Carissa, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Rebecca, David and Jonathan. She is also survived by her ten great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Wendell Caley, brothers Edwin Meyers, Frederick Meyers, Robert Meyers, Carl Meyers, all Navy Veterans and part of The Greatest Generation.
