Ricky Allen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - Bubb Chapel on Jun. 14, 2024.
Ricky D. Allen, age 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on June 13, 2024, in South Bend, IN. Born on January 31, 1962, in Warsaw, IN, to Linville Allen and Gwendolyn "Gean" Smith, Ricky's early years in Indiana set the stage for a life rich with joy, laughter, and unending generosity.
Ricky leaves behind his loving fiancé, Sheila Kubley, with whom he shared countless cherished moments. His daughter, Tequisha Oloizia, will forever hold onto the wisdom and warmth her father provided. While he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Jason Hall, sister Debbie Oswalt, brother Todd Allen, and his beloved parents, his spirit will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Chasta (Michael) Smith. Ricky's memory will also be honored by his faithful canine companions, Casper, a unique pitbull and sharpei mix, and Bear, a golden retriever.
Known as a jack of all trades, Ricky excelled in general maintenance and could fix nearly anything, earning admiration from all those he helped. His knack for solving problems was second only to the passion he had for watching NASCAR, especially cheering on his favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson, and his unwavering support for Notre Dame football.
Ricky will be remembered as the embodiment of love, humor, and generosity. His playful spirit and kind heart touched everyone he met, and he will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by those whose lives he brightened.
At this time no services are to be held per the family's wishes. Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46545 will be assisting the family with arrangements.
A private burial will take place at Oak Wood Cemetery in Warsaw, IN at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ricky's name to Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka, IN 46545 to help the family with final costs.
Condolences may be offered to the family via the Palmer Funeral Homes website at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
