It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Ricky Lynn Coulter. Mr. Coulter, age 66, passed away July 5 while at Providence Hospital in Columbia after a battle with several medical issues.
Ricky is lovingly remembered by surviving family including Carol Myhand, his loving partner of many years; children Bobby (Dawn) Coulter of Lexington, SC, Jamie Coulter of Bishopville and Lindsey (Adam) Skidmore, also of Bishopville; grandchildren Kirsten (Joey) Coulter, Ethan (Madison) Coulter, and Wyatt Coulter, all of Lexington, SC, and Finleigh and Fulton Skidmore of Bishopville; sisters, Lisa Outlaw (Camden) and Laura Vaughan (Lugoff); and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardian and Linda Coulter; brother Ronnie Coulter; and grandparents Woodley and Ruth Branham and Edward and Vera Coulter, all of the Bishopville and Antioch communities.
A caring husband, father and brother, Ricky was a kind, calm soul who held a broad range of interests, knowledge, and occupations. Following various positions with DuPont, he retired as a facilities manager at the Springdale Healthcare Center in Camden. He was a lover of music, reading and learning, and a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast for many years. He took great pride in figuring out how things work and repairing them for friends and family. Ricky will be remembered in fond memories and his legacy of kindness will be carried on through his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday July 10 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. The family will be receiving friends following the service at the Chapel and at other times at his daughter’s residence, 701 West Church Street, Bishopville.
