Ricky Shane Hagerman, 63, of Jolo, WV, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Rock, WV surrounded by family.

Born on October 2, 1961, in Welch, WV, Rick was the son of the late Zola and William “Son” Hagerman. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Rayetta Hagerman, six brothers and a sister; Bill, Rob, Sherman, Dale, Donald Ray, and Sue whose memories he carried with him always.

Rick was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving children: Travis (Bridgette) Kennedy of Paynesville, WV; Ricky Hagerman Jr. of Shawnee, OK; Greg (Courtney) Kennedy of Jolo, WV; Jeremiah (Brianna) Hagerman of Paintlick, VA; Joey Hagerman of Jolo, WV; and Maegan (Marcus) Bailey of Rock, WV. He is also survived by his sister, Naomi Hagerman, and a host of cherished grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.

A master of his craft, Rick was a highly respected and well-known mason, dedicating over 40 years of his life to the trade. His work stands as a lasting legacy throughout his hometown and surrounding areas.

When he wasn’t working, Rick could often be found spending time with his beloved horse, Sandman—one of his greatest joys.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Family Worship Center in Jolo, WV. Pastor Charles Rose will officiate. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm and service 1pm-2pm. Burial will follow at Goodman Cemetery in Buckeye Hollow, Jolo, WV. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the family.

Pallbearers will be his friend of many years, Ronnie Mullins, and a host of other friends and family.

Rick’s presence, laughter, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
