Ricky Harvey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Panama City on Jan. 11, 2026.
Ricky L. Harvey, 66, of Panama City, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Ricky was born on March 11, 1959 and was raised in Panama City, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and grew up with his family attending Immanuel Baptist Church.
Ricky was a graduate of Rutherford High School and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was owner and operator of Harvey and Son Countertop Shop in Panama City. His strong work ethics resulted in a skill of countertop construction that was unmatched.
Though he could be known to have a blunt demeanor, Ricky did many random acts of kindness about which he never boasted. He had a heart to help others less fortunate.
He was well versed on many topics and loved to share his vast knowledge about practically any subject. He particularly enjoyed talking about nature, nutrition, precious metals, and Politics! He was a true patriot who stood firm in his beliefs. He will be dearly missed.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Edward French and Mary Evelyn Harvey; sister, Patricia Harvey Brock; and niece, Sherry Hall.
Left to treasure his memory is his son, Benjamin Jordan Harvey; brother Ron Harvey (Jackie); nephews, Michael Harvey and Tanner Hall; niece, Faith Demakis; and his faithful dog, Patches.
A graveside service will be announced in the coming days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ricky's name to The Wounded Warrior Project or to the charity of your choice.

I knew Ricky from the Ninth grade at Rosenwald through graduation at Rutherford. Although our paths parted there, I would stop by his old shop on business 98 through the years, when I was back in town. Ricky was a true Patriot!!!RIP Ricky.
