Ricky Persinger

Ricky Persinger, 76, of Williamsburg, West Virginia died in Roanoke, Virginia on February 24th, 2026. He was born in White Sulphur Springs in 1950.

Ricky was educated at a trade school in Cleveland, OH and then went on to work a variety of jobs over many years including at Cadillac factory in Alabama, as a truck driver, in a commercial greenhouse, and many more. He spent the later years of his life as a fixture of the Williamsburg community always to be found with a kind word, observation, unique story, or thought as he walked between his usual visits between friends and homes.

Ricky always had love and care to give for animals, was a lover of nature and flowers, and appreciated all that life and each day had to offer him.

Ricky was preceded in death by his close friend, Violet Hanson, and is survived by special friends Randy and Sherry Judy, Missy Ramsay, and Marvin Walker, among many others including the entire Williamsburg community, as well as his housemates Ruth Lyons and James Kirk.

Ricky's funeral is to be held March 4th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Andrew Methodist Chapel in Williamsburg, WV.
