Mr. Ricky Ray Beard, age 57, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on August 16, 2025 at his residence. He was a native of Williamson County, TN and a son of the late Jackie Walker Beard, Sr. and Mamie Ruth Spears Ashworth Nickerson, who survives. Ricky was retired as an industrial engineer in Williamson County. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Walker Beard, Jr., and a nephew, Curtis Beard.
Ricky was a good man. He loved to watch television and play video games. He had a passion for listening to music. He enjoyed drinking his Coca Cola and sharing with his friends. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and being involved with them in activities.
Ricky Ray Beard is survived by his daughter, Melanie Beard; mother, Mamie (Mark) Nickerson of Columbia, TN; sisters, Sheila Beard of Columbia, TN, Patricia Beard of Chapel Hill, TN, Amy Beard of Columbia, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM – 1 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Wise officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Williamson County, TN.
Jonathon Ragsdale, Steven Gentry, Timmy Crutcher, Phillip Beard, Richard Beard, and John Beard will serve as pallbearers.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made for the funeral expense to Lawrence Funeral Home, P.O. Box 8, Chapel Hill, TN, 37034.
