Ricky Lee Ricks, 57 of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center with his daughters and grandchildren by his side.
Born in Nashville, NC, he lived in Perth Amboy, NJ for many years before moving to Plainsboro, NJ, and most recently to Monroe Township.
Ricky always lived his life to the fullest enjoying: fishing, traveling, cooking, and many other ventures. He was a man of unwavering principles, whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ricky was not only a provider but a pillar of strength, offering support, guidance, and unconditional love to his family.
As a father, Ricky was a source of inspiration and encouragement to his children, instilling in them values of integrity, perseverance, and compassion.
In addition to his roles as a family man and contributor to his community, Ricky was a loyal friend to many. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine interest in the welfare of others created lasting connections that will be remembered with fondness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Lee and Annie Mae Ricks, as well as his brothers: Melvin Ricks, James Ricks, and Larry Ricks.
He is survived by his children, Tinisha and Rickeyah Ricks, his cherished grandchildren, Tiana and Sofia Satterfield, and his siblings Fannie Ricks, Thomas Ricks, Carrie Ricks, Yvonne Ricks, and Daniel (Steve) Ricks.
The void left by Ricky's passing is immeasurable, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. The memories of his love, wisdom, and kindness will be cherished by his family and friends.
May Ricky rest in eternal peace, reunited with the loved ones who preceded him, and may his family find solace in the beautiful memories they shared with him.
Visiting is on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10am to 12pm.
A Funeral Service will begin at 12pm at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy.
