Ricky Tommasi Obituary
Ricky Lynn Tommasi Sr., 66, of Lake Charles, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at his residence. Born on November 25, 1958, in Lake Charles, LA, Ricky lived a life rich with love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community. Ricky was the proud owner/operator of Tommasi Brothers, Inc. since 1976, where he made his mark in the construction industry. His passion for his work was only matched by his commitment to those he loved. A graduate of LaGrange High School (1976), he knew the value of hard work, and his strong work ethic inspired all around him.
He loved to hunt all the way from Canada to Argentina and was an award winning marksman shooting clay in tournaments with his sons and many friends. He also was a huge fan of Nascar and attended every race possible. Ricky is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Tommasi, along with his children: daughters Jennifer Nicole Tommasi and Ashley Renee Tommasi, and sons Ricky Lynn Tommasi Jr. and Albert Marcus Tommasi, and brother Kevin Wold (Darla) and sister Melissa Gorena, and stepbrother Donny Wold and stepsister Angela Seamons, 5 nieces and 13 nephews. His legacy of love will live on through his grandchildren: Lauryn James, Karys Chaumont (and fiance,Tanner Matte), Ryan James, Ava Tommasi, and Avery Larrick, who brought him immense joy.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; Albert Tommasi and Mattie Wold, siblings; Albert Victor "Al" Tommasi, Jr., Lelia Elliot, Katie Yarbrough, and Debbie Wold.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on December 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and will continue on Friday, December 13, 2024, from noon until the service time at 2:00 PM also at Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Hugh Yarbrough will officiate. Following the service, Ricky will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens.
