Ricky Allen Walker, 68, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on January 26, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.
He was born April 27, 1954 in Madison, WV, the son of Shirley Clemens Messer of Holden, WV and the late Richard "Tom" Clemens.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Owen & Stacy Walker, one sister, Sheila Maynard, one brother, Randy Clemens and his father and mother-in-law, Robert & Mary Mynheir.
Ricky was a retired coal miner from Arch Coal. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding and traveling but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Bobbi Ann (Mynheir) Walker of Chapmanville; three daughters, Emily (Bruce) Linville of Madison, Chasity (Herbie) Cox of Chapmanville and Kim (Buddy) Gillum of Madison; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Halie) Cox, Brady (Abby) Cox, Breanna Linville, Austin (Taylor) Butcher, Ethan Linville, Olivia Cox and Zoee Gillum; five great-grandchildren, Lamayah Cox, Ella Butcher, Xavier Cox, Jordyn Butcher, and Hope "Bad Baby" Cox; one sister, Karen (Shorty) Ward; two brothers, Teddy Clemens, and Stephen (Lousetta) Clemens; and his special friends, Russell Toler and Timmy Williams.
Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Timothy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and sons-in-law.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
