Riley Clay Weast, age 20, passed away October 6, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Riley was born Tuesday, May 27, 2003 in Rutherford County to the late Roger Kevin Weast and Jennifer McGinnis Weast. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 2021. Upon his graduation, he worked for Buildz Construction Company. Riley enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and shooting guns. He leaves a lasting place in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne McGinnis, Roger Weast and Candy and Ron Honeycutt.
Left to treasure his memory are his siblings, Megan Smith (Cory) of Watauga, Texas, Daughtry Mitchell (Cassie) and Bailey Aiden Weast all of Forest City; grandparents, Gladys Kay McGinnis (Dennis) of Forest City and Pat Weast of Rutherford County; aunt, Tina Walker (Michael) of Forest City; uncles, Eric McGinnis (Sandra) of Orlando, FL, Brian Weast (Tracy) of Sunshine, Joey Weast (Jessica) of Ellenboro; nephew, Daughtry Mitchell, Jr. and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 13th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ted Blankenship and Reverend Kevin Street officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
