Rita Boyd, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by her
loved ones. Born December 17, 1949 in Franklin County.
Rita lived a life full of kindness and strength. She had an unwavering love of God,
family and friends. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and strong faith
in Christ, which guided her throughout her life. Rita enjoyed coloring, tending to all
God's creatures, sharing the Gospel, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her laughter and
wisdom touched all who knew her.
Rita is survived by her three loving daughters: Gidget Parrish (Eugene Parrish), Nicole
Boyd, Tiffany Stokes (Eddie Stokes), 1 Step-Daughter Kristy Stainback (Rodney
Stainback), her cherished grandchildren: Daniel Parrish, Preston Parrish, Levi Boyd,
Maddie Boyd, Emma Hall, Sara Hall, Gracie Stokes, and Allie Stokes; and her beloved
great- grandchildren: Makayla Parrish, Emersyn Parrish, Nolan Parrish, Baylan Parrish,
and Gabriel Boyd-Vazquez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Boyd,
Mother Louise Faulkner, Father Perry Faulkner, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 stepdaughter,
and 1 granddaughter.
A celebration of Rita's life will be held on October 21, 2025, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the
home of Gidget Parrish, located at 2699 Henry Wilson Rd, Oxford, NC 27565. Friends
and family are invited to share stories and honor her earthly life. Private burial will take
place Friday 24th at 2 pm.
Her love, light, and faith will remain in our hearts always.
