Rita is survived by her four children, Angel Lambert, Piqua, OH; Michelle (Richard) Workman, Troy, OH; Michael (Teresa) Brubaker, Sidney, OH; and Tonya (Rick) Cassel, Houston, OH. Also surviving are Seventeen Grandchildren, and Sixteen Great-Grandchildren and one brother Greg (Patty) Simmons, Tipp City, OH. Rita was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Brewer.
Rita graduated from Piqua Central High School in 1963. She retired from Miami County Children's Services in April 2006, after many years of service.
Rita loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. She enjoyed going to casino's and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She also had fun playing cards and working on puzzles, but her most treasured moments was time spent with her family and grandchildren by the pool in her back yard.
A time to honor Rita's Life will be held from 1-4 pm Saturday, March 1, 2025 at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County at 3230 N. County Rd. 25 A Troy, OH 45373
