Rita D Desjardins

Rita D. (Bosley) Desjardins, age 101, of Hudson, NH passed away in her home on December 19, 2025. We celebrate her longevity but mourn her loss.

Born in Jaffrey, NH on August 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Felix and Olida (Dumas) Bosley. She was the wife of the late Jean A. Desjardins whom she married on Nov. 11, 1944 in Nashua. Together they raised 5 children. She shared 22 years of marriage with her beloved, Jean, who predeceased her on Dec. 8, 1966.

Prior to her retirement, Rita worked at Sprague Electric in Nashua and Kollsman in Merrimack, NH. She took great pride in her family, enjoying many outings and holiday gatherings at her home in Hudson, NH. Gardening and bowling were two of her passions. Her home was always filled with family, and she welcomed extended family and friends always.

Survivors include her sister, Ida Bosley Athanasian of Michigan, two daughters, Sharon Buchanan and her husband Bill of Deerfield, NH, Linda Rowe and her husband Michael of Millinocket, ME, one son, Kenneth Desjardins and his wife Dee Dee of Manchester, NH and one daughter-in-law, Diane Desjardins of Hudson, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Meagan Gagnon, Jonathan Buchanan, Angela Marcotte, Jean Desjardins, Carin Rowe, Michael Rowe as well as great-grandchildren, Maddox, Paxton, AJ, Krystal, Cory, Zoe, Mya and Linda and great great-grandchildren, Emma, Alexie, Alivia, Eva, Arthur, Rita, Elijah and Daniel. Rita leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides her husband, Rita was predeceased by her sons, Ricky Desjardins and Neil Desjardins, her great grandchildren, Connor and Preston Edmunds and a sister, Madeline Moureau.

The family wishes to recognize and thank Angie (Angela) Marcotte, her granddaughter, and Krystal Murray, her great granddaughter and Diane Desjardins, her daughter-in-law. Their tremendous contributions enabled Rita to remain in her home when her health declined.

SERVICES: Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 9:30 am at St. Patrick Parish, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment prayers and burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Derry Rd., Hudson.
