Ellen Livernois Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis Funeral Home on Mar. 23, 2026.
Ellen Skinner Livernois, 77, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

Born in Franklin, New Jersey, on August 7, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John Skinner and Wilhemina "Mina" (White) Skinner. Ellen was raised and educated in Franklin and was a graduate of Franklin High School. She went on to attend the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree in 1969.

Ellen dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a registered nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital for over 45 years. She touched countless lives before retiring in 2015.

She was the loving wife of Lawrence "Larry" Livernois, with whom she shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. The couple was married on September 12, 1981, in Southbridge, Massachusetts.

In her free time, Ellen enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and occasional trips to the casino. She also enjoyed fine dining and cooking, always appreciating a good meal and a glass of chardonnay. She had a passion for travel and explored numerous countries, including Egypt, Morocco, Spain, France, Greece, Belgium and many islands throughout the Caribbean. Her favorite destination was Aruba, where she returned more than 30 times. Above all, Ellen found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Lawrence "Larry" Livernois; her beloved daughter, Danielle Weisberg and her husband, Andrew; and her cherished grandchildren, Everett and Emerson. She is also survived by her siblings, Jack Skinner, Deborah Abramson and her husband, Larry, and Carolyn Skinner, along with extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Ellen's life will be held at a later date.

I was sad to hear of Ellen passing. I will always remember Ellen for her kindness and smile. Having worked together for 30 years, the most memorable were when our very small group of nurses were embarking on our careers at PBBH in 1974. Ellen was always lending a helping hand and kind words. Thoughts are with Larry, Danielle and family at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jane(Geraghty) McDermott

We are so sorry to hear of Ellen´s passing! We first met when our daughters were in preschool and had such fun entertaining them through their early years. With occasional meet ups through the years, it was always fun to catch up and reminisce. Ellen was a caregiver in every way, whether in her work, with her family or with her friends. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. Thinking of you , Larry and Danielle, and sending love and peace. Rest in peace, Ellen, and thank you for gracing the world with your presence.

Ellen and I worked together in the Brigham OR for decades. She was an exceptionally kind and devoted nurse. We were both married in 1981. Danielle and Larry were the center of her life. Despite never meeting either one of them, I felt that I knew them. She adored her family.

Ellen will always be remembered for her kindness and her smile.
