Rita J. Dolio

Rita Dolio beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 20, 1930, in San Francisco she grew into a woman who found joy in the simple things, especially cooking, baking, and traveling. She met her husband, Raymond Dolio when she was 7 years old in San Francisco where both of their families were in the same hospital. The families stayed in touch and visited each other in Madera and San Francisco.

Ray went into the Korean War and when he got out they got married in 1953 and Rita then moved to Madera where the Dolio's were from. Rita and Ray had 2 children. After Ron & Debbie finished high school, she then started to work at James Monroe School as a teacher's aide. Ray & Rita were married for 61 years when Ray passed away.

She is survived by her son, Ron Dolio and his partner Peggy Thalman. Her daughter, Debbie Servidio and her husband Ralph Servidio. Her nephew & niece Rick & Donna Bernardi who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Dolio and her brother Carl Bernardi.

Visitation- 2:00pm ~ 4:00pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Jay Chapel in Madera, California.

Recitation of the Rosary 4:00pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Jay Chapel in Madera, California.

Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am Thursday, February 26, 2026, at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera, California.

Interment- Calvary Cemetery in Madera, California.

Celebration of Life will he held immediately after at the Elks Lodge where family and friends are invited to share stories, food, and love in her honor.
