Rita Haynes

Rita Haynes, age 76, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Rita was born on February 20, 1949, in Roswell, Georgia, daughter to Willis Henry Brown and Gladys Thaxton Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Horace Grey Haynes. She was a retired legal secretary who also was a member of the Credit Women's Group. Rita loved crafting and cooking, but most importantly, cherished her family above all else. She will be dearly missed but always remembered in our hearts.

Survivors include her children, Tim Haynes and Vanessa Lyon; grandchildren, Cody Haynes, Logan Haynes and wife Brook, and Rylee Jones; great-grandchildren, Olivia Haynes and Everly Haynes; siblings, Edna Newberry, Helen Derso, Willis Brown, Farris Carter, and Floyd Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The service will follow in the chapel, officiated by Pastor Shane Dawson.
