Rita Horn Obituary
Rita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and recently great-great-grandmother. She was proud to be an Air Force wife and strongly supported the military and its members. She loved bowling, participated in many leagues, and bowled multiple perfect games. Rita enjoyed shopping, cooking, and hosting family gatherings over the years. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Candelaria Belcina (nee Samson); beloved husband, George F. Horn; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Surviving Rita are her two children, Bobby (Dawn) Sparks, Donna (Randy) Holloway; 5 grandchildren, Shannon Buchanan, Skyler Sparks, Emily Holloway, Taylor Sparks, Gavin Holloway; 3 great grandchildren, Ethan Meinders, Ashton Meinders, Jensen Buchanan; and one great-great grandchild, Iris Meinders.
Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home; 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O'Fallon, IL 62269.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home; 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O'Fallon, IL 62269. Burial will immediately follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
