Rita P. Jenkins

Rita P. Jenkins, Mayfield Heights, Ohio, passed away on the evening of December 12, 2025. Rita was born September 30, 1930 in Cleveland, OH. She was the daughter of Charles Walter and Elizabeth Ellen Thomas Jenkins. Rita was a woman of great Catholic faith who radiated peace and love. She was caring and loving to her parents as well as her siblings. Rita was a dedicated member of the St. Francis of Assisi prayer group and deeply loved all her fellow members. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Survivors include her nephews: Robert Jenkins, Thomas (Patricia) Jenkins, Daniel (Leslie) Jenkins, James Jenkins and Peter Jenkins; nieces: Louann (Thomas) Weingartner, Dianne (Angelo) Papa, Sharon Jenkins, Patricia Jenkins and Margaret Jenkins. She is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Rev. Robert J. Jenkins, Francis A. Jenkins, Joseph B. Jenkins, and Charles L. Jenkins and sisters Kathleen and Ann Mildred Jenkins. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills, OH on Wednesday, December 17 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills, OH 44040.
