Rita P. Leedy, age 71, passed away March 26, 2026.
Born on May 20, 1954, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arturs and Lucija (Nee Jankovskis) Purvins.
Rita is survived by her husband, Edwin Leedy; daughter, Elizabeth; granddaughter, Aubrey; and brother, Andris Purvins.
Rita lived a life rooted in love, devotion, and simple joys. She was a dedicated and loving wife to Edwin, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond. She was also a devoted mother to Elizabeth and a doting and adoring Mom-mom to Aubrey, roles she cherished above all else.
Rita was deeply committed to the insurance business she proudly built and shared alongside her husband, Edwin. Through years of hard work, integrity, and care for their clients, she played an essential role in creating not just a successful business, but one grounded in trust and personal connection.
She found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family. Whether gathered around the table for a home-cooked meal or sharing stories and laughter, she cherished every moment with those she loved. She had a passion for cooking and took pride in bringing people together through her meals.
An adventurous spirit at heart, Rita enjoyed exploring national parks and traveling to the beach, where she found peace in nature’s beauty. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses, whose companionship brought her great joy.
Rita will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed by her husband, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to Rita’s viewing 9:30-11:00 AM, Thursday, April 2, 2026 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, 1191 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA 19475
