Rita (Dionne) Ouellette, wife of the late Ralph Martin Ouellette died on December 17, 2024, in Caribou, Maine. Rita was born on December 25, 1933, in Guerette, Maine to the late Maxime and Annie (Dube) Dionne
She sewed for Princes Kent in Fort Kent for several years. She loved to create and give knitted mittens, socks and homemade sewn blankets to the family. Many enjoyed her homemade bread, chocolate chip cookies, whoopee pies, donuts, and ploys. In her early years, people could smell the homemade donuts as they walked by her house.
She is survived by her children Jim and Mary (St. Peter) Ouellette, Ralph and Elaine (Dunn) Ouellette, Michael and Donna (Richardson) Ouellette, and Tammy (Ouellette) and Bruce Dube. Grandchildren Wayne St. Peter, Joe and Melissa (Ouellette) Drayton, Casie (Ouellette) Chasse, Lindsey (Firneno) Haight, Christen (Firneno) and Christopher DeMont, Heather Ouellette and Anna Guest, Lauren Ouellette, Jacqueline (Ouellette) and Brenton Levesque, Ambre Ouellette, Theresa (Ouellette) and Joe Novelli, Jacob and Chloe (Donahue-Johnson) Ouellette, Alisha Ouellette, Morgan Dube, and Noah Dube. Great-grandchildren Isiaih Drayton, Isac Drayton, Josiah Drayton, Elias Drayton, Joselyn Drayton, George Haight, Cooper Haight, Dillon Parent, Kayla Parent, Adam Parent, Emily Ouellette, Hunter Levesque. Great-great-grandchildren Lincoln Parent, Nolan Parent, Keiden Parent and Ezer Ouellette. Sibling Emery and Claudette (Collins) Dionne. In-laws Gloria Ouellette, Pauline (Ouellette) Bouchard, and Tina (Ouellette) Baker. And many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings Rena (Dionne) and Walter Ouellette, Henry and Carol (St. Peter) Dionne, twins Emery and Henry Dionne, twins Jean and Joseph Dionne, Charles Dionne, and Maxime Jr. Dionne.
Burial services will be held at Northern Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Caribou, Maine at a later date.
