Rita M.L. Parrillo

Rita M. L. Parrillo (LaPlante), 99, of Chepachet, died on December 13, 2024 at Morgan Health Center. She was the wife of the late Rocco Parrillo. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Angelina (Bougette) LaPlante.
Rita enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles, crafting, and scratching lottery tickets. She was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan, following the players and stats until recently. Most of all, she loved her family, especially spending time with her great-grandsons, Matthew and Joshua.
She is survived by three children, Carol Gabriele, Dawn Silva and her husband Paul, and Joseph Parrillo, three grandchildren, Cristen Henderson and her husband David, Theresa Montanaro, and Joseph Parrillo, Jr., and five great-grandchildren. She was the mother-in-law of the late Carl Gabriele and sister of the late Leona Nightengale, Arthur LaPlante, and Theresa Spicer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Philip's Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
