Mrs. Rita Ann Snow, age 86, a very special lady and a good friend to all those she knew, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 5, 2025, at Betsy Ross Nursing Home in Rome, NY.

Rita was born in Gouverneur, NY on February 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Vaile (Austin). Rita graduated from Camden High School and then furthered her education at the Utica School of Cosmetology. She did the hair of many friends and shut ins. Rita also worked at the Wegmans floral department in Dewitt, NY for 15 years, she loved making floral arrangements and decorating. She enjoyed being part of several women's golf leagues, including one at the Rogue Roost golf club. She was also part of her church choir, in willing workers, and a member of the Oneida Lake Congregational Church. In her free time Rita enjoyed sewing, cooking and various other forms of crafting and home decorating.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Thomas Vaile and Cary Vaile. She was also preceded in death by her son Donald Snow, her niece Erin Vaile and her granddaughter Courtney Hrobuchak. As well as Edwin Eugene Snow who she was married to previously for 30 years.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Hrobuchak and her husband Ronald, as well as her brother, Charles Vaile and his wife Rose, and sister, Marla Vaile Johnson. She also leaves behind many loved grandchildren; Ryan and Tristan Hrobuchak, Kristin and Chris Ballou, Nicholas and Alyssa Hrobuchak, Matt and Michelle Barber, Jessie Snow and 8 great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of Rita's life with family and friends, to be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Ciaccia Applegate funeral Directors.
