Rita Walker, age 65, brought warmth and sunshine to the lives of those around her, leaving a legacy of love that will forever be cherished. On November 13, 2023, in Chattanooga, TN, Rita peacefully passed away, leaving behind a tapestry of memories that will endure in the hearts of her loved ones.
Known for her infectious laughter that could brighten even the cloudiest day, Rita possessed a captivating charm. Her sparkling blue eyes held a timeless beauty that would make the Rat Pack envious. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she embraced everyone she met, recognizing no strangers in her midst.
The love story of Rita and her devoted husband, Carl Walker Sr., began in 1981, and over the course of 43 years, they crafted a union that transcended time. Rita's presence was a beacon of love and comfort, a source of strength for the family they built together. Their journey was a testament to the enduring power of love.
Rita leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to her surviving family: her beloved husband, Carl Walker Sr., their sons Carl Eugene Walker Jr. (Kristen Jean), and Robert Walker (Jackie), their daughter Nancy Walker and grandchildren Maddex, Makena, Colby, Tabrin, Brody, Dakota, Kesha, and cherished friends and relatives.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Moulder, who surely welcomed her with open arms in Heaven.
The celebration of Rita's life will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Chattanooga Chapel. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation starting at 2:00 PM at the same location. As we gather to honor and remember Rita, let us reflect on the enduring love she shared and find solace in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
