Rob "Robbie" Garland

Mr. Rob "Robbie" Garland, 68, of Barney, Georgia, passed away on December 28, 2025 at his residence. He was born on November 9, 1957 in Dade City, Florida to the late Robert William Garland and the late Catherine Corrine Chinchello Garland. Mr. Garland lived most of his life in Florida before moving to Georgia about two and a half years ago. He retired from Plant Operations with St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who truly loved the outdoors as evidenced by his large number of trophy deer and fish.

Mr. Garland is survived by his son, Robert Joseph Garland, Sr. of Port Charlotte, Florida; his daughter, Andrea Pummell of Naylor, Georgia; one step-daughter, Summer Davis of Zephyrhills, Florida; six grandchildren: Taidum Pummell of Naylor; Robert J. Garland, Jr. and Faith Garland, both of Port Charlotte, James Lee Pummell, Jr. of California, Jordan Pummell and Jayden Pummell, both of Naylor; one great grandson, James Lee Pummell, III of California; one sister, Emily Dishman of Barney, Georgia; and two brothers, Ryan Garland of Zephyrhills and Shawn Garland of Hiawassee, Georgia.

In keeping with Mr. Garland's wishes he was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Florida.
