Rob Rosenbaum Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burdan Funeral Home and Crematory on Mar. 27, 2026.
Rob Rosenbaum, 57, of Lowell, IN passed away peacefully at his home on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 8, 1969.

Rob was a 1987 graduate of Crown Point High School and a proud member of the Electricians Union Local 697. Rob worked for Austgen Electric in Griffith, IN for 33 years ~ a group that truly became his extended family. Rob enjoyed many years of coaching his daughters in travel softball and was honored to be a part of the Lowell High School softball program.

Rob loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and was a talented musician, playing his bass guitar while a member of several bands throughout his life. Most important to him was spending time with his family, especially as a fun and devoted "Grampy" to Charlotte, Jay and Payton Juarez.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Rosenbaum, his aunt, Babara Bower and his uncle, Tom Hanlon. He is survived by his cherished wife of 30 years, Ronna Lukasik-Rosenbaum and his two amazing daughters, Katherine Juarez and Kristina Rosenbaum and son-in-law, Justin Juarez, who he considered the son he never had. He will forever be missed by his mother, Marylou Rosenbaum, and he was so proud to be her son. Rob was exceptionally close to his siblings Doug (Tina) Rosenbaum and Jennifer (Ben White) Rosenbaum and adored his nieces and nephews, Anthony Fennell, Jake, Hayden, Mylee and Ty Rosenbaum, Ryan and Samantha White. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles, Patricia Hanlon, Larry Bower, John Hanlon, Bobby (Sherrie) Hanlon, Jim Hanlon and Beth (John) Doppler.

Rob had a huge personality that was felt by all and will be truly missed. As some people journey through life, they leave footprints wherever they go - footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, humor and inspiration, joy and faith. Even when they are gone, we can still look back and clearly see the trail they left behind - a trail bright with hope that invites us to follow.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for friends and family.
