Roba Dorsett Smith

Mrs. Roba Dorsett Smith, age 88, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at her residence.

 A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at one o’clock pm in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Wayne White and Bro. Jeremy Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. A visitation will be on Tuesday evening December 17, 2024, from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

 Mrs. Smith was born in Boaz, Alabama on October 30, 1936, to Willie B. & Ludie Simpson Dorsett. She was a homemaker.

 Mrs. Smith is survived by her Son: Ronnie & Stacey Smith of Boaz, Daughters: Donna & Kevin Plunkett and Wanda & Sherman Waits all of Boaz, Grandchildren: Damien & Viktoria Waits, Riley & Emily Cain, Alex Smith, Sam & Hannah Smith and Brooklyn Smith, Great Grandchildren: Parker, Carter, Kyzlen, Gracie, Sterlen and Olive, Brothers: Donald & Linda Dorsett of North Carolina and James & Connie Dorsett of Texas, Sisters: Shirley Marshall of Boaz, and Brenda Thompson of Geraldine. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Willie & Ludie Dorsett, Husband: James “Billy” Smith, Sister: Martha Ails, and Brothers: Corbin Dorsett, Joseph Dorsett, Bobby Dorsett, and I.D. Dorsett.

 The pallbearers will be Damien Waits, Riley Cain, Alex Smith, Sam Smith, Mark Dorsett, and Johnny Parris.

 In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
