Mrs. Robbie Renee' Boyd Burke, born June 4, 1958, in Newnan, died peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange, at the age of 67.
A devoted wife, sister, and friend, Robbie was deeply loved by all who knew her. She spent 35 years working in the hotel industry, followed by 12 years with an EMS consulting firm, where she was admired for her dedication and compassion. She had a creative and thoughtful spirit, enjoyed reading, connecting with others on Facebook, and handcrafting jewelry which she often gifted to family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Eric Burke; her brother, David Boyd (Crystal); sisters in-law, Susan Boyd and Leanne Giard (Mike); mother in-law, Anne Smith (George); uncles, Danny Wright (Jeannie) and Ronnie Wright (Jane); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, James Harley Boyd and Annette Wright Boyd; her brothers, Danny Scott Boyd and James Derek Boyd; and her father in-law, Danny Burke. Her close circle of friends includes Susan Boyd, Robin Pike, Mary Ellen Wright, Anne Smith, Terri Jones, Christy Cunningham, and Renee' Burke, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
A woman of deep faith, Robbie held tightly to the scriptures, Philippians 4:13 – "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" – and John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, prior to the service.
