Robbie Zell Dace Born: October 24, 1933 • Passed Away: July 11, 2025
We are heartbroken to share the passing of Robbie Zell Dace. A cherished Mima, gifted
artist, inspiring teacher, and amazing mom.
Robbie was born in Gravesville, Arkansas, to Hershel and Ova Linn, on October 24,
1933 and from the very beginning, she saw the world a little differently, through color
and through the eyes of an artist.
Robbie was an art and English teacher for over 30 years at Beebe High School in
Beebe, Arkansas. She poured her heart into helping students, encouraging them to "be
creative but also be correct." She believed everyone had something beautiful to say or
create, and she had a special way of bringing it out of them.
Outside the classroom, she was a lifelong artist who never stopped learning. Robbie
spent her summers at Ole Miss, working toward her master's degree in art - a time she
loved and often spoke about. Robbie traveled all over Europe and across the U.S. to
study art, always eager to try new techniques. Her sketchbooks were full of life. She
loved to paint street scenes, people and landscapes. Her paintings are so special they
are all hanging in the living rooms of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Ova Linn; her brother, Bobby
Linn; her sister, Rita Jo; her infant daughter Diana Gayle; and her precious
daughter Melanie Gordon. Their memories remained close to her heart every day of her
life. Robbie leaves behind her brother, Danny Linn; her sons Keith Dace (wife
Shelly) and Harold Dace (wife Stefanie); along with 10 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
Robbie lived in Arkansas for almost her entire life and was always surrounded by family.
They are very close-knit and loved spending time with her. These moments meant the
world to her, and her family will always cherish the memories they made together.
Robbie loved her family deeply and gave so much to them. We will miss how she made
us laugh, and we know her memory will stay with us forever.
We will be celebrating her life on July 16, 2025 at 10am at Cypress Valley Cemetery in
Vilonia, Arkansas and we invite all who loved her to join.
