Kenneth "Bud" Dace was born September 18, 1938 to Grant and Genevieve (Nawrocki) Dace. Kenneth met the love of his life, Kathy Habes, at Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington. Together the couple enjoyed 35 years of marital bliss. Ken worked as a dental technician for 46 years, owning his business during the last half of his dental career.
He developed a love for his lifetime hobby of photography. He also became an enthusiastic sports fan who especially enjoyed following the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He was a generous person by nature, throughout his senior years, Ken volunteered countless hours to his Grafton Food Pantry and the Huntley Lions Club.
Ken is survived by his sons, Michael, Daniel, and Adam, son-in-law,
john Poulin, by his grandchildren, Kelly, Casidy, Ryan, Danielle, Michael, Desiree and David, and by his great grandchildren, Blaine, Brealy, Brody, Boston, and Bayla. Ken is also survived by his sister, Patricia Barilow, sister-in-laws, Carol Dace, Joanie (Nick) Koplos and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, his daughter, Sue Poulin and grandson, Dillon Poulin, his brother, Grant. And Brother-in-law, Robert Barilow
Ken died peacefully, Monday, August 18, 2025.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 1-2pm with a service at 2pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Association.
