Robbie Dean Jones passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Born July 12, 1941 in Cleveland, TN. She was the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Moreland) Poole. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of sixty-three years, Bobby Eugene Jones, son, Tim Jones, sister, Lawanda Ingram, and infant great-grandson Eli Jones.
She is survived by her children - Jaton Hundley (Don), Lyndon Jones (Tina), Robin Craft (John), and Zandra Jarnagin (Johnie), twenty grandchildren - Timmy Jones (Lora), Aaron Wood (Keeonna), Cheri Wood (David), Jessica Jones, Talania Thomas (Devon), Megan Howard (Clint), Trevor Jones (Renee), Mason Jones (Brianna), Ty Jones, Tyler Green, Jacob Jarnagin, Jason Jarnagin, Alexis Craft (John), Shawna Bradford (Bert), Jonathan Trottman (Jake), Brittany Dills (Bryan), Heather Duke (Justin), Kathryn Wood, Lindsey Arp (Barry), and Taylor Tyler (Ross), forty-seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, two brothers - Danny Poole (LeAnn) and David Poole (Debbie) of California, and daughter-in-law - Karen Wilson.
She worked at American Uniform for many years and was a newspaper carrier for the Cleveland Daily Banner delivering newspapers to the Prospect area. She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church; however, she attended Mt. Olive Ministries later in life. When not working, she would help Bobby in the hayfield and attend to his errands. Together they raised chickens and cows.
Robbie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for baking, especially her coconut cakes, brought smiles to countless faces, her culinary skills extended to preparing meals that nourished not only the body but also the soul. Canning foods was not just a hobby for Robbie; it was a labor of love, preserving memories and flavors for her family to savor. She was consistently on the sidelines, cheering on her family in their various sports endeavors.
She was a loving, devoted mother who enriched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Her pall-bearers and honorary pall-bearers are her grandsons.
Robbie's family will receive friends on Friday July 12th from 3pm until 6pm at "The Ridge Chapel" of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Siglendia Sherrill officating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
