Robbie L. Pennebaker, age 92, of Oak Ridge, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 15, 2025, at the Missouri State Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born December 5, 1932, in Charleston, Missouri, the son of Edward W. and Frocie L. Smith Pennebaker.
He married Minnie Florence Johnson in 1951. She preceded him in death September 8, 2022.
Robbie was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving from December 15, 1950 to December 17, 1953. He worked over 20 years for Asarco American Smelter and Refining Company in Glover, Missouri.
Loving survivors a son, Michael (Bonnie) Pennebaker of Oak Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Lee Ann (the late Robbie, Jr.) Pennebaker of Jackson; six grandsons; three granddaughters; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Minnie, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robbie, Jr. and Stacy Pennebaker; and a daughter, Mary Ann Middleton.
The visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to service time, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will conduct the funeral service at 12 pm, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by full Military Honors.
Burial will be at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Ironton.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the Missouri Veterans Home Foundation.
