Robbin Michelle Zettlemoyer was born February 23, 1969, to Stephen and Ophelia Lowe in Charleston, South Carolina. She passed away after a short battle with an illness on January 5, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas.
Robbin met Todd Zettlemoyer while they were both in law enforcement in March of 1998. They later ended up working for the same agency, where they became best of friends, prior to his departure to a different agency. On November 25, 2000, the two became one, until her passing.
Robbin never considered anyone a stranger and was always ready to help whoever needed it, at any time. Robbin loved to serve and strived to have a positive impact on youth. While being an officer, Robbin instructed DARE reaching out to thousands of school age children about the dangers of drugs.
Robbin retired from law enforcement on February 23, 2007, after the birth of her son, so that she could be at home to raise both her children. She later felt a calling back to serving and returned to a role in education, working for the Kingwood United Methodist Church - School for Little Children as a teacher and later as the director overseeing the entire program and construction of the new school.
Robbin continued to impact the lives of youth by serving for the MBW Marlins swim team as an official and always had dance moves on the pool deck to energize the kids. She always said being an official gave her the front row seat to watch all the kids up close and to cheer them on. A few years into officiating she joined the board and served in multiple positions for over 10 years.
After her time on the swim team board, she joined the Kingwood Park High School AFJROTC Booster Club board and served for multiple years, coordinating events and attending competitions to cheer on the cadets.
Robbin dedicated not only her time but her resources to ensure the success of these programs. Robbin's latest passion was donating to Wreaths Across America-Houston to place wreaths at the Houston National Cemetery during Christmas, which was her favorite holiday, to share with her family and friends.
Over the course of countless years, Robbin ensured the purchase of gifts for children in need through various programs. Robbin had a deep desire to make sure that no child would go without a Christmas.
Robbin is survived by her husband, Todd Zettlemoyer and her two amazing children, Riley Zettlemoyer (James) and Zachary Zettlemoyer. On January 4, 2025, Riley was able to have a religious wedding ceremony at Robbin's hospital bedside, so that her mom could witness it. On that day Riley was able to pledge her love to Andrew James, 1st Lieutenant United States Army in front of family, friends and hospital staff.
Robbin is survived by her mother, Ophelia Lowe-Christian, and her sister, Stephanie Jessee (Brent Jessee), Nephew Benjamin Jesse (Jessica) and their three daughters, Niece Christine Jessee (Megan). Her step-brother Ronnie Christian (Holly) and their daughter. Robbin is preceded in death by her father, Stephen Lowe, and her grandparents.
Robbin had a large extended family through her marriage with Todd and is survived by her mother-in law and friend Helen Zettlemoyer. Also survived by her brother and sister-in laws; Carl Zettlemoyer (Connie) and their five children/spouses and grandchildren, Kevin Zettlemoyer (Pamela) and their two children, Brian Zettlemoyer (Carrie) and their three children/spouses and grandchildren, Steven Zettlemoyer (Kelli) and their two children.
Robbin was a devoted wife, mother, friend, who met no stranger and would help anyone. She had a special desire for programs serving veterans and for programs that cared for animals. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation of your choosing to a local veteran program or your local animal shelter in her honor.
