Robert Gene Ackerman, age 50, of Taylor, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home in Taylor.
Robert Gene Ackerman II was born in Woodstock, Illinois on October 5, 1974 to Robert Gene Ackerman I and Denise Kotyza Ackerman.
At the age of 7, his family moved to Taylor, TX. He attended Taylor Schools and graduated from Taylor High School in May 1992. He held several jobs before finding his career at Spectrum/Charter Cable. The Friday of his passing he was to celebrate 20 years with the company as a Field Supervisor.
Robert was strong in his faith. He was a member and Deacon of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Bartlett, TX. and the Pastor is the Rev. Daniel Blane.
Robert met Eliza in 2017 and started joining their 2 families. On March 21, 2021 they were married. He built a beautiful, blended family of he and wife and all of their children.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory: his parents Robert G. Ackerman Sr. of Rockdale, TX and Denise Ackerman of Taylor, TX. His loving wife, Eliza Ackerman of Taylor, TX., his brother Darryl Ackerman (Bambi) of Bastrop, TX; His children: Anthony Ackerman, Bethany Ackerman, Robert G. Ackerman III (Tricia) of Taylor, TX., Whitney Ross (Ralph Rogas) of Round Rock, TX, Joey Boyd (Julia Coward) of Taylor, TX, Tyric Ackerman of Taylor, TX, Alice Boyd (Adrian Villalobos) of Taylor, TX, and Colby and Jackson Ackerman of Georgetown, TX; His grandchildren: Mason and Olivia Ackerman of Taylor, TX, Adrianna Villalobos of Taylor, TX, Jocelyn Tucay and Chloe Rogas of Round Rock, TX; And his family at Spectrum and a host of friends, nieces and nephews. He leaves a legacy for all time.
A visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Taylor City Cemetery.
