Robert Jeffery Albers

Robert Jeffery Albers, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born on April 26, 1947, the son of the late Robert and Laverne Evans Albers.

Jeff married Nancy Jane Baker on December 10, 1983, in Rushville, Illinois, and they remained devoted to one another until her passing on June 25, 2018.

Jeff is survived by his two daughters, Bree Albers of Springfield, Illinois, and Janell Clark of Cape Coral, Florida; two stepsons, John Knous and Scot Knous; one stepdaughter, Kathy Moore; four grandsons, Domineek Price, Laquan Price, Marcus Albers, and Elijah Jackson; four great-granddaughters, Aleigha, Aveah, Kehlani, and Nomoi; one brother, Mark Albers; and one sister, Jonna Herring.

Jeff proudly served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he moved to Springfield where he worked as a paramedic. He later moved to Rushville and served the community as a Sheriff's Deputy for several years.

He was a member of Rushville Moose Lodge #1009 and Schuyler American Legion Post #4.

Jeff enjoyed talking with people and truly never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at Rushville City Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and the U.S. Navy Honors Detail. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
