Born on October 18, 1946, in Nevada, MO, Andy proudly served in the Unites States Army from 1967 to 1987, achieving the rank of SFC E7. His military career took him to various parts of the world, including the Philippines, two tours of duty in Vietnam, and Germany, He earned commendations for his bravery, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star with V Device, and the Army Commendation Medal. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him. Following his 20 years of military service, Andy was a licensed Real Estate agent for Coldwell Banker United Realtors of Killleen, Texas. In latter years, he served as a photographer for the company. In his retirement, Andy enjoyed gardening, woodworking, leather-working, and working on various household projects. He was, also, an avid historian, with vast knowledge in military history and enjoyed sharing stories and knowledge with others. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Mary Anderson and his brother, Shelby Anderson, Jr., along with his daughter, Melanie Anderson, oldest son, Shelby Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Susan Kenney. He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresita Yap Anderson, of 54 years, his children, Edward Anderson, Ronika Anderson, and Monika A. Dapilmoto with son-in-law, Mark Dapilmoto. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends. A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 7, 2025 at Affordable Burial and Cremation, in Killeen, Texas. Military honors will be rendered at the graveside at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on October 8, 2025.
