Donald A. Holland age 91 of Corsicana, TX passed away on Sat 09/27/2025 at Baylor Scott & White in Temple.
Don was born in Denison Texas on 02/14/1934 to Ralph and Beatrice Holland. Don served our Country proudly in the United States Army. After Service he graduated from TCU University with a Business Degree. He worked for JC Penney Company in Management until his retirement.
Don was known for his quick wit, amazing memory, story telling and baseball. He played baseball in the Army as well as TCU making it semi pro. Also he had a love for the Old Westerns, John Wayne and Robert Duvall. He has a great love for Alaska and spoke often of it's beauty and he really enjoyed getting to visit that beautiful place.
Don and Thelma, the love of his life are believers in God, Jesus, and the trinity. Together they loved to watch spiritual programs on television and meditated in the word daily. John 3:16
Don is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Al Ryan, his in-laws Ralph and Maria Leos and his brother in laws, Lee, Tilo, Camillo, and Joe Leos.
He is survived by his loving wife Thelma of 69 years. His children Gary, Steve and wife Melanie, Terry, Scott and wife Kristina. 7 grand children, 9 great grand children. His only sister Jan and Husband Ron Hall. His sister in laws, Bill and Benita Sinclair and Jim and Dora Beaty.
Grave side service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 TX-195 Killeen, TX Wed 10/08/2025 @ 2:00 pm
