Robert "Rob" Ayers of rural Thief River Falls, MN passed away at Paradise Acres on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Memorial service for Robert will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Our Savior's Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Alex Amiot officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be held at Park Ridge Cemetery near Thief River Falls, MN.
Robert Dake Ayers was born July 19, 1965, son of Dake and Eva (Armstrong) Ayers in Thief River Falls, MN. He was raised in Thief River Falls graduating from Lincoln High School in 1983.
Robert worked at a gas station in Fargo where he was a tow truck operator and mechanic work. He moved to Montana and worked on a ranch, drove a beet truck and was a John Deere mechanic and worked for several farmers in the area. Due to ill health, he was forced into retirement.
Robert enjoyed collecting old Snap-on tools, guns and working on John Deere tractors. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, he always had a story. He had many strong opinions on many subjects and was never wrong. He had a big heart and loved his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As one of his cousins would say, he was a softy with a gruff beard.
Robert is survived by his siblings, Richard (Michelle) Ayers, Randall (Jodi) Ayers, Denise (David) Yonke, and Darla Ayers; nieces and nephews, Crystal, Zachery, Megan, Desirae, and Danielle.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dake and Eva Ayers, sister Diane, other extended family.
