Donna Rux, 83 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 1, 2025 at her home.

Funeral for Donna will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Rance Berggren officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday morning.

Burial will be held at Rux Cemetery near St. Hilaire, MN.

Donna Mae Scott was born February 19, 1942 at Langdon, North Dakota daughter of Donald and Evelyn (Buntjer) Scott. She was raised in Wales, ND and Hannah, ND in her early childhood years. In 1954 the family moved to Milton, ND. In 1957 the family settled in Thief River Falls, MN.

On September 19, 1961 she was united in marriage to Orlie Rux in Key West, FL. In 1964, they moved to Worcester, MA. To this union five children were born Pam, Duane, DelRay, Susan and Jason. The couple settled in Thief River Falls where they raised their family. She worked at Inga's Café, Arctic Cat and Quick Print. They moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1982 where she was employed at Washburn Printing, and in 1987 they moved to Minneapolis where Donna worked at Maxi Print. In 2002, she moved back to Thief River Falls to be closer to family and was employed at Quick Print and later Printing Plus.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, embroidery and spending time with family and friends at the lake cabin on Pine Lake. In her later years, word find puzzles became a way to keep the mind fresh. She loved to have company and the coffee was always on, but don't bother her when Wrestling was on.

Donna is survived by her children Duane (Jane) Rux of Thief River Falls, MN; Susie Lerol of Thief River Falls, MN; daughter-in-law Jackie Rux of Winger, MN. Grandchildren: Cassandra Horgeshimer, Majesta (Joel) Allen, Britney Nelson, Jacob Weber, Josh Weber, Shyanne Lerol, and Michelle Roadfeldt. Great-grandchildren Kyler Horgeshimer and Jordan Barrett, Kaidence and Theron Nelson, Nikolai Weber, Amias and Edwin Hudson; great-great grandson Jay Horgeshimer; sister Betty Brownlee, Ft. Worth, TX; brothers: Donnie (Cheryl) Scott, St. Hilaire, MN; Kenny Scott, St. Hilaire, MN; Raymond (Cindy) Scott, Red Lake Falls, MN; Richard (Mikki) Scott, St. Hilaire, MN along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Orlie, children Pam Hamilton, DelRay Rux, Jason Rux; parents Donald and Evelyn, mother and father in-law Walter and Lily Rux, sister Viola (Erwin) Melvie, infant sister Lois; brothers and sisters in-law Floyd (Lillian) Rux, Delmer (Gloria) Rux, Clayton (Jean) Rux, Frank (Wendy) Rux, Wanda (Clarence) Schroeder, and June (Cecil) Olson.
