Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Feb. 25, 2026.
Ronald Paul Rux, Sr., 86, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2026.

Ron was born on November 18, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, to Herbert Edward Rux and Vera Francis Lubbering. He attended St. Leo's Catholic School and Harlandale High School. From 1958 to 1961, he proudly served in the United States Navy, a time in his life he carried with deep pride and honor.

After his service, Ron worked in the oil field for ten years before dedicating 27 years as an Inspector with Chromalloy Corporation, retiring in 1992. He believed deeply in hard work,

sacrifice and providing faithfully for his family.

A man of steady faith, Ron loved the Lord and lived out his beliefs through kindness and service to others. He was known for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and infectious laugh. He enjoyed fishing, hiking along the Guadalupe River with his wife, traveling to the mountains of Colorado and Alaska, and listening to the beautiful music of Andrea Bocelli.

Above all, Ron was a devoted husband and loving father. He shared 62 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Maria Ema Rux.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Ema Rux; his children, Carmen Marie Rux; Ronald Paul Rux Jr. (wife, Maria Rux); Crystal Ann Davila (husband, David Davila); and Thomas Anthony Rux (wife, Lisa Rux); his grandchildren, Jacob Lee Rux, Diamond Nicole Davila, Blake Jared Davila, Sarah Ashley Rico, Jace Rux, and Parker James Rux; and his siblings, Thomas Anthony Rux, and Helen Ramirez.

Ron will be remembered for his faith, devotion to family, strong character, and the joy he brought to others. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
