Where do I even start. I can talk for hours about my uncle. Our conversations go for hours and never a pause in conversation. My mom used to drop me off to my grandmas house where my uncle lived after daycare and or after school from a child until early teens when my grandmother passed. I have learned so much from him. From learning what the NFL is, to knowing what the N.Y. Knicks mean, down to politics, even we spoke about aliens and history. He used to bribe me to brush his waves and I can get something from the store. As I´ve gotten older, I realized how much more my uncle means to me and it still feels unreal, to look at a picture and know you aren´t at home. I will miss you uncle Robert.

I haven´t seen Rob in over 30 years. He had a sweet spirit and kind! I never ran into him since he returned here. His family and he are good people. To the family I know you have good memories. We certainly do!
My sincere prayers of comfort in knowing he was a good man.
Cherish the good and fun times!
Sincerely, Tanya Cumber formally Tanya Burke

Worked for many years with Robert at Clary MS. I've always admired his style and the great rapport he had with the kids...He helped me after school with Chess Club (we battled in many games). In faculty basketball games, I enjoyed "bouncing" off him. I've always regretted losing touch with him; a finer man never lived...

Oh, I have such fond memories of Mr. Bailey, as the kids knew him at Clary, or as Rob, as we adults called him. We staff members were all friends, and had many laughs together. The kids knew we all got along with each other, and it made for a wonderful atmosphere at Clary. Rob was a dear friend and colleague. He will be missed by all who knew him. My sympathy to all his family.

I worked many years with Mr. Bailey in the SCSD. He was always kind to everyone and helped many students become productive young adults. He will b e missed.
