Robert Allen Baird, age 94, passed away at NHC Farragut on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with the love of his life Jean by his side. Bob graduated from Knoxville High School in 1950 and the University of Tennessee with an engineering degree. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War and retired from TVA. Bob was a loyal member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church for 66 years and past master of Cherokee Lodge #728.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard Kelsey Baird and mother Roseman Johnston, and was raised by stepmother Dorothy Baird; sister Eleanor J. Kroll (Tony); brothers Maynard K. "Sonny" Baird Jr. (Lyle) and Jack Wesley Baird (Carol).

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean DeLay Baird; sister Anne Cashell (Ted); son Dr. Michael Allen Baird (Cindy); grandchildren Bobby Baird (Kelsey), Tyler "Bullet" Baird, Brittany Reveiz (Nick), and Brooke Baird; great-grandchildren, Reveis, Silas, and Boone Baird, and Zane, Zeb, Zeal, and Zadie Reveiz.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919, at 1:00 pm.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday, Jan. 18 at 2:00 pm at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1001 Ebenezer Road, Knoxville, TN 37923, with Rev. Austin Byerly and Rev. Mike Sluder officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Building Fund.
