Robert Quinn Bannon

Bob was a resident of Beverly Hills for 42 years, formerly of Hartford, CT and Boston, MA. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lawrence Technological University and a Master's degree in Business from Central Michigan University. He retired in 1989 after 29 years as a safety manager for Unisys Corp. (formerly Burroughs). He was also a former cameraman for the Weather Bureau in Washington, D.C. Bob was an active parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs including past president and longtime member of the Usher's Club. He was also an active member of the Birmingham Senior Men's Club. His other activities include being a member of the Mariner Marlins Association and a former volunteer usher at the Fox Theatre. He enjoyed aviation as a private pilot, playing golf, camping and traveling North America by car. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen McCarthy Bannon. Dear father of Daniel R. Bannon. Brother of Joseph Bannon and Ruth Hickey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Loving companion of Pat Parks. Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile) Sunday 2-8p.m. Rosary 7p.m. Funeral Mass Monday 10a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, 32340 Pierce, Beverly Hills.
