Robert Barbero Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Loyless Funeral Home - Land O'Lakes on Mar. 5, 2026.
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Robert E. Barbero announces his peaceful passing on February 21, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 14, 1936, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Robert entered this world as a blessing to his parents, Joseph and Margaret (Reale) Barbero, who welcomed him into a home filled with faith and family.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joseph Jr. and Raymond; and his first wife, Claire Barbero. We rejoice in knowing they are now reunited in God's eternal embrace.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannette Jette (Barbero), who faithfully walked beside him in his later years. Robert leaves a profound legacy in his son, Robert E. Barbero; his stepchildren, Suzanne Wright, Robert Jette, and Celeste Robinette; his grandchildren- Jennifer Barbero, Timothy Oney, Marissa Pollock, and Caitlyn Wright -and many treasured great grandchildren. His family takes comfort in the belief that his love will continue to guide them from heaven.

A man of service rooted in Christian charity, Robert was a past President of the Lions Club and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he helped organize countless charitable events over the years. His faith was reflected not only in his actions but in the joy, he brought to others.

Robert had a God given love for music and poetry, sharing songs and words that lifted the spirits of those around him. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he lived his life with humility, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

For more than 45 years, Robert owned and operated a cherished family restaurant-a place where community gathered, friendships grew, and many were welcomed with the warmth and kindness that reflected the heart of its owner.

Robert's earthly journey has come to a close, but his spirit remains with all who knew and loved him. May he rest in the peace of our Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him.

He will be deeply missed.
